My 3rd Quarter in ICat class

In my 3rd quarter in ICT class, I've gained a lot of lessons about Microsoft Frontpage. I've learned the uses of Microsoft Frontpage and the parts of this application. Doing our activities in our 3rd quarter ICT class are very enjoyable.

In the 3rd quarter, I encountered some challenges in our ICT class. Sometimes I can't follow to our lesson because sometimes our teacher is so quick to discuss about our lesson and in this 2nd quarter she is very busy from the office and because of the uncountable meetings and too much celebration in our school.

I overcome all of this through the help of my classmates and who guide me in our activities, who explain to me our lessons clearly. I overcome those by asking questions to our teacher about the lessons that I can't understand and searching in the internet for the lessons that I can't really understand.

Moving on, I will used all lessons I've learned from this quarter and share it to other people who didn't know the uses and parts of the Microsoft Frontpage. I will share my knowledge about the lesson that I've learned in this quarter to the grade 9 students so that they can easily understand their lessons if they were in grade 10.

The Essence of CHRISTMAS

Image result for essence of christmas          Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. A time for us to understand the lessons from Jesus & reflect on them. Jesus brought a new religion based on love & the vision of a God who is full of compassion & forgiveness; a vision of doing everything with a positive mindset & from a place of love.

This month, I heard three different people talk about December, they all said the same thing:, oh my “its December, an expensive month”. This caught my attention, why is it that people are talking about an expensive month instead of being happy that it is almost Christmas. We give each other presents but do we really know the essence of Christmas?. Jesus himself said, “love thy neighbour as thy self”.

Christmas is not all about merry making. We must also spare time to reflect on the essence of the period which is the love of God for humanity. This unquantifiable love is summed up in the popular bible verse John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave us his only begotten son, that whosoever believe in him will not perish but have eternal life.”When we ponder on God’s love for us, we too are encouraged to share love with others, to embrace peace and be our brother’s keeper. When we are imbued with this love of God, we will be always willing to give a helping hand to those in need, to give succour and comfort to the vulnerable ones among others. Last Christmas and this year 2019 was very happy, joyful and cool, and I wish that this incoming Christmas and New Year are much better than last year.

GAD-VAWC Celebration

Gender equality plays a crucial role in development. The Gender and Development (GAD) focal point at NAPC actively promotes the advancement of women by combating the feminization of poverty through a series of GAD activities. This year, the newly-formed GAD committee has scheduled capacity-development building among NAPC staff and the basic sectors. Key activities include Gender-Sensitivity Training (GST) and Gender-Responsive Planning (GRP). This is to create gender awareness, identify gender issues, and establish a unified action plan in order to address them.

Some projects are included, such activities for women's empowerment as the GREAT Women Project, Grassroots Mobilization for Legislative Agenda on RH, Women's Month, Women and the Environment Month, Women's Health Day, and 16-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).

Violence against women and children is a serious public health concern, with costs at multiple levels of society. Although violence is a threat to everyone, women and children are particularly susceptible to victimization because they often have fewer rights or lack appropriate means of protection. In some societies certain types of violence are deemed socially or legally acceptable, thereby contributing further to the risk to women and children.

In the past decade research has documented the growing magnitude of such violence, but gaps in the data still remain. Victims of violence of any type fear stigmatization or societal condemnation and thus often hesitate to report crimes. The issue is compounded by the fact that for women and children the perpetrators are often people they know and because some countries lack laws or regulations protecting victims.
